Therapeutic Canine Massage

Canine Massage Therapy is a science based complementary therapy that rehabilitates muscular injuries and provides pain management for orthopaedic conditions.

Massage therapy is suitable for both the young, active and fit dog as well as the older, less mobile dog.  As well as dealing with muscular and orthopaedic issues, massage is great for preventing injury too, so if your dog leads an active life doing agility, flyball, canicross etc then canine massage can help to keep your dog injury-free and, as everyone knows; prevention is better than cure!

Massage also treats chronic muscular pain that can result in physical and behavioural changes.  Chronic muscular pain is widespread and often misdiagnosed and therefore often not offered the correct treatment, so many dogs are often suffering in silence.  Anyone who has suffered from chronic muscular pain in the back or neck, for example, understands exactly how debilitating this can be. Massage is THE most effective therapy to rehabilitate and recondition your dog’s muscles for movement, mobility and longevity!

Testimonials

“Caroline has massaged my Jack Russell Ted weekly since we’ve been in Spain. Ted has had mobility issues since having spinal surgery, so I am very cautious about how delicate he is and therefore wary about who treats him. Caroline has been fantastic! She is so lovely and Ted is completely at ease with her and he really does benefit from his sessions. He not only enjoys the relaxation factor, but he is like a new dog after his treatment. Caroline also treats my mums miniature dachshund who coincidentally had a similar operation on his spine and he benefits from the great results after his massage too. If you’re considering having your dog treated by Caroline, don’t hesitate to get her booked, she’s brilliant!”

“My golden retriever Charlie who’s nearly 11 years old adores Caroline and his weekly massage. The treatments are helping with his arthritis and he licks Caroline’s hands when she walks through the door as he knows they’re going to work magic for him.”

“Caroline Stone massages my dog Maxi and he adored it! He suffers joint pains and he is a huge dog, but Caroline manouvered him into receptive positions with absolute grace and expertise! Recommend her…….hell yeah!!!!!”

“A very professional and in depth service. I was pleasantly surprised. Caroline asked a lot of questions as well as well as videoing our little pooch, Scamp, walking. She also gave advice on things to avoid making the situation worse. Scamp had strained her back and after consultation with the vet we arranged for Caroline to come round. There was a definite improvement next day. Scamp is looking forward to seeing Caroline this weekend.”
